Where to start? I’ll start with saying, I have a finish, I have a finish! Yay me! *dances around with glee* Oh, you want to see a picture, do you? Well, you’ll just have to wait, because it was only just this afternoon that I mailed it and some other goodies off to it’s recipient. She’ll get it in a week or so and then you can see pictures. I tried a new finishing technique created by Judy Odell, and the amazing result totally surprised me! I highly recommend her finishing books because they are well-written and they work! I’m terrified of finishing my work because I always think I’ll botch it.

On to the naughtiness… it wasn’t even me being naughty this time, harumph! It was Kat! Today we visited our LNS and she led me to believe she was buying herself this Spectral Butterfly Blackwork kit from Berlin Embroidery Designs only to spring it on me in the parking lot. I told her “No, I’m not doing it!! I have Medieval Majesty to stitch.” But no, she would not be swayed. So, once I finish this, I will have it framed and I will make sure she finds a nice place to hang it on her walls! (BratbratbratBRAT!) Thanks, Kat! *Hugs!*

And finally — tomorrow we’re off to Tampa, Florida for a long weekend to help a dear friend of 20+ years celebrate his 50th birthday. Being as this morning Autumn decided to arrive in a very cold, overcast and windy way, we’re all quite happy about some 70+ degree temperatures and sunshine. This will be our daughters’ first ride on an airplane and we’re hoping they’ll do well!

Speaking of which, I suppose I should go do something with this list entitled “Things to pack for Florida” that I wrote earlier. It’s only 12 hours until we’re leaving for the airport…
