I’ve been bitten by some sort of alien bug and it’s mutating me into something quite un-Suelike. For the past two days I have had this very strong urge to be totally practical with my stitching and become a one-at-a-time stitcher. (OAATer) Is it because I really like what I have in my stand? Err… no, it’s Celtic Summer. Is it because I’ve got this huge urge to finish something? No, I just finished an RR piece and an exchange, so I got a nice dose of endorphins with those. Is it guilt? Heck no, I just bought a new and expensive chart! Wanna see? It’s got 100 colors and 120 blends! *rolls her eyes* A Peacock and Doves in a Garden
So what is it? Kat tried tempting me with Cirques (which I have the fabric, silk and beads for) and Celestial Dragon (which I have started and love), but I countered with Cirques being more thinking than I want to do right now as I am doing it in silks and beads and have to figure out which goes where and since Teresa is planning on releasing some new things, I figure I’ll work on my dragon during a TW SAL then.

I’m glad you asked that question Fudgey, I was wondering too. I understand the urge Sue. Although I periodically yearn to start new things, when I was having a lot of stitching time, I was finding that I worked mostly on one piece unless I was participating in a SAL. That’s why Stella got some much work done on her. I’m not sure how I will be when I finally get to start stitching again. Maybe I will join you in a single focal piece. Maybe not
Do let us know what you end up doing. But of course if you do focus on one, we might have to give you a few more SALS
Heh, sorry, Fudgey… I’m confused, too.
The idea is that aside from the SALs I have going on (I see the RR as a SAL), that I would have one other piece that I would stitch on rather than rotating through my myriad of other WIPs.
I think it may be A Peacock and Doves that wins as my focus piece, too. While gabbing at stitching night tonight, I realized that this is the most, for lack of a better word, mature, of all my pieces. *shrugs* Oh my… am I getting *gasps* OLD?? *scampers off to peer in the mirror to see if she has any wrinkles or gray hair*
