Hope your 2010 goes well and you’re able to do that decluttering you are hoping for.
And on the stitching front, does obsession with a cat mean that peacock and doves is languishing? You have a couple others on the go too that I’d love to see progress but like I can talk Here’s hoping 2010 is a productive stitching year for us all

Have fun! I’m so jealous. Once I can crawl out from under the pile of work and many other things that have eroded my free time, I hope to set up something similar over here. I can’t wait to see how the weekend goes and what you get done.. hint, hint

I’m soooo excited too! It’s gonna be tons of fun and I may actually stitch or knit….nah. But at least I get to gab, gossip, and gobble. Cannot wait!

What an enjoyable read and how great too that the two are so different! They seem to have developed individually which is a good thing … can you imagine it they both had picked the same chart! OMG you would have to do it twice – grin. This way you have a lot of variety and will not get bored.
Now the only thing missing is your charts? Come on now, cough them up!

Hehe, thanks for sharing, I loved it! It’s so funny to see the different approaches to shopping and how great that they both picked JBG. There are too many of hers I want to stitch too.

I found the sale last night in one of my rare visits to HAED. Rare because for the last 18 months I’ve been trying to be good and not buying stash – even when there is a sale. I think I’ve only caved once (when I bought JBG’s Gargoyles and the thread to stitch it). Only 6 months more to go then I won’t be so strict on stash buying again.

So…. speaking of stashing…. what were the two charts you picked up for yourself? Oh, and don’t forget to post lots of pics as you are stitching the pieces for the girls.

Great to see a post! I love looking at all your stitching, and it’s always different every post so you never know what you’re going to get to see Great work as always

As for your daughters, you should be proud – both of them and yourself. I think it’s great that you’re teaching them the value of money by making them save up themselves. Sorry if that sounds preachy, I don’t mean it that way, there are just way too many people that just go out and buy the latest thing for their kids as soon as it is out.

first off… wow, congrats and hurrah for having to wonderful girls who have learned a very valuable life lesson… saving. You should be proud and I bet they are too… you are a great mom too and I know they love you to bits.
Now on to the stitchy stuff… love the sparkles and pinks of your draggie to be! You got a nice bit done already!
